Ladies Luncheon - Thursday, February 13th - Cheese Pairings!

Greetings Bloomington Country Club ladies! Our next Ladies Lunch will be Thursday, February 13th.  Social time starts at 11:30, program will begin at noon, and lunch will be served afterward around 12:45. 

This month’s speaker will be Jerry Wright, who is a Cheesemonger at Harmon’s Grocery store in Santa Clara.  Jerry will be presenting, and we will be tasting 4 different cheeses that will be paired with something sweet, savory or fruity.  In addition, we will be enjoying a delicious salad, with rolls and dessert. Jerry will bring some recipes, Harmon’s cooking class schedule and some wine pairing ideas.  For Jerry to prepare and bring with him enough cheese for everyone, YOU MUST MAKE RESERVATIONS 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE FOR THIS LUNCHEON.

Jerry Wright was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA.  Out of high school he began an acting career and then moved behind the scenes during postproduction and worked at this for 30 years.  Needing to get out of the rat race and stressful job, he sold his home in the Silver Lake area and built a home in Ivins, UT 4 years ago.  He didn’t have solid plans, but he had always been a foodie and Harmons had just built their big beautiful store only 2 miles from his new home.  Jerry applied and was hired. Jerry is a Cheesemonger now and has been mongering ever since. Definition of Cheesemonger: a merchant who specializes in cheese.  When you walk into a cheese shop to buy a wedge for your next party, your go-to person behind the counter is the Cheesemonger.
